Based in Washington, D.C., our Document Services Team is composed of seasoned professionals with extensive experience and specialized expertise in trademark and copyright filing and embassy and legalization procedures, including certifications and apostilles. They have what it takes to professionally represent our clients through the complex maze of governmental red tape, saving you time, money and frustration.

Meet the members of our Document Service Team:

Tim PatersonTim Paterson has been a part of the Document Services team since 1990, and has led the team since 2004. Prior to joining Thomson CompuMark, he worked 7 years at a law firm and other search organizations. Tim has extensive knowledge of and experience with the various government agencies that deal with intellectual property.



Ingrid Arbuckle Ingrid Arbuckle joined Document Services in 1989, taking on the responsibility of document filing and retrieval from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Ingrid’s vast knowledge and government contacts enable her to provide clients with superior service and rapid turnaround times.

Daved Alexander started with Thomson CompuMark in 2004, joining us from a law firm where he worked in their records division. Since joining Document Services, he has become well versed in trademark case monitoring and management. He has also gained expertise in the document filing and retrieval process at the Copyright Office. An expert in the legalization process with embassies and the State Department, Daved manages our legalization and authentication services


Beth Brown Beth Brown has more than 10 years of intellectual property experience related to building relationships and conducting filings at the U.S. Copyright Office and U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Her experience working with the office of public information at the Copyright Office has given Beth a vast amount of knowledge on copyright filing procedures.

Kai Goodwin is the newest member of Document Services team.  Kai graduated from North Carolina Wesleyan College. He previously worked at a technology and information company that provided content management for the USPTO. Kai spent time as a Senior Coordinator for a national lobbying organization.
